Not content at re-uniting for Ocean's 12, Steven Soderbergh and Matt Damon are getting it together again for a drama called The Informant about a super mole in a huge corporate scam. Adapted from a book by New York Times investigative reporter Kurt Eichenwald, The Informant tells the story of Mark Whitacre, a high-level mole at the self-declared 'supermarket to the world' Archer Daniels Midland. Smelling something decidedly fishy about the company's proceedings with their Japanese competitors, Whitacre turned to the FBI who made him wear a wire for more than two years and uncovered a major price-fixing swindle ADM had rigged with their friends in Japan which brought the company millions of dollars in profit. Faced with such damning evidence from the super mole, ADM pleaded guilty in 1996 and paid a whopping $100 million fine. Ok, we know they're cool as cats can be, but can even Soderbergh and his Section 8 posse make a supermarket scam story sexy?
