Summit Entertainment has done rather well out of the supernatural so far, given how much money the company has raked in from the Twilight franchise. So you can hardly blame it for jumping on a new pitch about witches that screams possible franchise: The Last Witch Hunter.

Not terribly surprisingly, Cory Goodman’s idea revolves around one of the few remaining hunters, responsible for keeping the population of witches and warlocks in check lest they overrun the world. Trouble is, his breed is dying off fast, whereas the magical types are on the brink of a surge.

Timur Bekmembetov, a man who has a little bit of experience with otherworldly action franchises thanks to his Night Watch trilogy, is signing on to produce and possibly direct the movie.

The search for sexy witches and warlocks starts... now.
