Suicide Squad received some seriously mixed responses upon release, but has done decent business at the box office. So while it might not have been expected, an extended version will hit Digital Download, Blu-ray and DVD releases.

Don't go expecting a huge, different cut in the mould of the Batman V Superman extended release, or indeed an upgrade in rating. The extended edition features 13 minutes' more material, and from the looks of the brief teaser above, appears to partly focus on the earlier days of Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Jared Leto's Joker.

We'd doubt there will be much in the way of changes to how the movie itself is put together, though talk of different versions have abounded. The new release, which will hit Digital Download in the UK on 28 November followed by 4K, 3D Blu-ray, regular Blu-ray and DVD on 5 December.
