Stuber Trailer Drives Online

Stuber

We've already had cause to write about Dave Bautista (nabbing a role in Zack Snyder's latest) and Kumail Nanjiani (entering talks for Marvel's The Eternals), so why not keep that going with the first trailer for a movie that features them both? Action-comedy Stuber drives our way this summer and you can see a taste below.

The high concept for this one finds mild-mannered Uber driver Stu (Nanjiani) picking up Vic (Bautista), who just so happens to be a cop hot on the trail of a brutal killer. Not exactly prepared for the world of high crime, Stu is thrust into an ordeal where he'll have to try to hang on to his wits, his life... and his five-star rating.

Directed by Goon/What If's Michael Dowse and written by Tripper Clancy, the film has fallen into the weird void as the Fox-Disney merger takes place and while it's still listed as a Fox movie, was mentioned on the Disney release slate announced at last week's CinemaCon. Still, following the screening of a work-in-progress version at SXSW last month, the buzz is strong.

With Karen Gillan, Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales and Betty Gilpin also in the cast, Stuber arrives in UK and Stateside cinemas on 12 July.
