Good Night, And Good Luck’s David Strathairn is in demand again.
He’s nabbed a lead role in Paramount’s fantasy wanna-franchise The Spiderwick Chronicles, which finds three kids moving to their great uncle’s ancient mansion, only to discover a magical tome which transports them to a new world. Because all ancient mansions come with those as standard.
Then he’s on to grittier action fare, playing the shadowy head of a secret operation hunting Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne in The Bourne Ultimatum. Paul Greengrass is back to direct the third Bourne movie, while Just Like Heaven’s Mark Waters is already at work on Spiderwick.
