Sharon Stone's agent must be feeling particularly happy today - he's just managed to secure his client a massive pay hike to reprise her role in Basic Instinct. Negotiations have been going on for some time for Stone to return to the role of murderess Catherine Tramell - whose weapon of choice was the icepick. A report in today's Variety suggests that Stone succeeded in more than doubling the salary she received for the original movie - $6 million - to around $15 million. Stone will be the only member of the original team to return to Basic Instinct. Her co-star Michael Douglas, director Paul Verhoeven and writer Joe Eszterhas have all declined to take a second go at the movie. The Basic Instinct sequel has been signed by C-2 Pictures, the same company responsible for persuading Arnie to return as the Terminator for a third time. What's next? Rocky 6? No, we're kidding - honest.
