Steve Pink, most recently of **Hot Tub Time Machine **fame, is in talks to direct a new film version of David Mamet's play Sexual Perversity In Chicago, previously shot as **About Last Night **in the '80s and starring Rob Lowe and Demi Moore. The planned re-do is set to star Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and Kevin Hart.

Those of you who have recently become hooked on 50 Shades Of Grey may be disappointed to know that the play is not about kinkiness, despite the title. It's more a look at an average relationship, and how the couple's difficulties in communicating threaten their status, despite their best efforts. The perversity, then, is the fact that they can't talk despite their physical closeness, sort of thing. It sounds better when Mamet says it.

Leslye Headland, of the upcoming Bachelorette, has written the script, and shooting is due to start early in the autumn. Will Gluck (Easy A) and Will Packer (Think Like A Man, which also starred Ealy and Hart) are producing, so let's hope for something smart and contemporary here, and featuring fewer shoulder-pads than the Lowe / Moore version.
