We've seen Sterling K. Brown in action for films such as The Predator and Hotel Artemis, while Kerry Washington is usually found more on the straightforward dramatic side of things. But they'll both be showing what they can do for new action pic Shadow Force.
According to Deadline, the new film is described as a fresh take on the idea of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (with Washington had a role in), but no specific plot details have been released about Leon Chills' script. Still, from that concept, you'd have to assume it'll be about a couple who both have dangerous jobs, likely as assassins.
Film studios and streaming services are bidding on the project, so we can expect it'll find a home soon. Brown has a voice in The Angry Birds Movie 2, on screens now, and will also lend his tonsil talents to Frozen II, due 22 November. Washington is at work on miniseries Little Fires Everywhere, which will premiere on US streaming service Hulu next year.
