Sterling K. Brown has proved himself someone that makes every film or TV show he crops up in that little bit better, and he even made an impact in a small role in Black Panther. He's now joined the cast of spy thriller The Rhythm Section.
Meadowland and The Handmaid's Tale director Reed Moreno is in charge of the movie, which adapts the first book of Mark Burnell's series. Blake Lively is playing Stephanie Patrick, grieving the loss of her family in a plane crash. But when she discovers that the crash was no accident, she goes on a mission to find the truth by becoming an assassin and tracking down those responsible.
The movie had to shut down production in January after Lively sustained a hand injury during a stunt. When a first surgery to repair the damage didn't work as well as hoped, she went in for another procedure and is finally back to full health. The cameras will start rolling again this month in Spain.
The Hollywood Reporter was not able to dig up details of Brown's role in the film, but we do know he joins a cast that also includes Jude Law and Daniel Mays. Brown will next pop up in Hotel Artemis (out 20 July) and is part of the cast for The Predator, which arrives on 13 September.
