Fast car chases, implausibly acted shoot-outs, flared trousers and, of course, Huggy Bear. Everybody loved Starsky and Hutch and Ben Stiller has taken it upon himself to bring one half of the cult crime-fighting duo to the big screen. "Obviously, I'm Starsky, and what mostly qualifies me is the dark, curly hair," Stiller told the Chicago Sun-Times. The role of Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson has yet to find a suitable new face but rumours indicate Stiller's Zoolander co-star Owen Wilson is definitely in the running. "The most exciting part of doing the movie is driving the cool red car," said Stiller of the iconic '74 Ford Torino that served the duo so well in their fight against crime. "I mean, the whole concept is being updated, but the one thing we've all agreed on is that the car has to remain the same." A pair of plain clothes detectives who always seemed to land against-the-odds assignments, Starsky and Hutch inspired a legion of fans as they did their level best to duff up two-bit hoods and clean up the crime-infested streets. While the film's plot has yet to be revealed, Still has more important concerns about bringing Starsky back to life. "I have to learn to run like him. Paul Michael Glaser had this crazy run like he was in perpetual slow motion." Antonio Fargas, who played the show's most memorable character, all-knowing informant Huggy Bear, is likely a little beyond reprising the role and names from Chris Tucker to Don Cheadle have been mooted by fans but Stiller has his own idea of who pick up the mantle. "I'd love to get Snoop Dogg. Wouldn't that be cool?"
