Autograph hunters had better get their pencils sharpened for this year's BAFTA Awards. A quick look at the list of people turning up this Sunday reveals a veritable cavalcade of stars will be heading down the red carpet. It seems the cunning repositioning of the awards as the last big publicity push for the Oscars has worked in the BAFTAs favour, attracting stars as diverse as Nicolas Cage, Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman and Martin Scorsese to this year's ceremony. Other famous faces to watch out for include Pedro Almodovar, Michael Caine, Ed Harris, Salma Hayek, Julianne Moore, Meryl Streep, Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta Jones. Not to mention Mena Suvari, Lord Attenborough, Michael Douglas, Jennifer Connelly and Angelina Jolie. The ceremony kicks off at around 7.00pm this Sunday at the Odeon Leicester Square (and will be on BBC1 at 9.00pm). As usual, Empire Online will be there on the red carpet to bring you all the gossip from the event itself. So check the site that evening for our full coverage.
