The time has finally come for those outside the core behindt-the-camera creative team to see Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, and the first people granted that opportunity (outside of a charitable screening for a dying fan) were the cast. Which means that they've started to react to it. And the feeling? Positive! We know, we're not shocked either. But there's truly something to be said for Richard E. Grant's infectious joy.
While visions of JJ Abrams pacing with one of those night vision goggle sets they use to make sure people don't illegally record screenings dance in our heads, the cast seem to have enjoyed themselves. Take also the reaction from Joonas Suotamo, the man who is now Chewbacca.
Further screenings will be happening soon, though of course there will be strict a embargo in place ahead of the film's actual release. UK audiences will start to see the film on 19 December
