Donald Glover as Lando in Solo: A Star Wars Story

Hello... What have we here? With Disney and Lucasfilm seemingly focus their joint attention more on small screen Star Wars, another potential series has hit the news radar once again. This time, via the team at the Kessel Run Radio podcast, it's word of a Lando Calrissian series with Donald Glover returning to play the younger version of the character.

Naturally, this is totally unconfirmed by Disney, though the KRR team have previously broken the likes of new Clone Wars spin-off series The Bad Batch, but any movement on Lando will have to remain in the rumoursphere for now. And not least because we're not fully convinced that Glover would want to commit to more Star Wars, at least not unless he has the Mouse House backing a dump truck of money up to his house to use for his own projects.

Still, the possibilities are enticing – a Lando series could continue dangling plot threads from Solo: A Star Wars Story while focusing on Lando's world. Or it could chart other adventures from before he crosses paths with Han. And is there scope for Billy Dee Williams to show up to narrate or bookend the series as the older Calrissian? Which would also open the door to a show that follows his and The Rise Of Skywalker Jannah's (Naomi Ackie) mission to find out more about her past? This deal is getting better all the time!
