The trailer for LucasArts' **Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, has just gone online over at Gametrailers. Seriously, is there any cooler sound than a lightsaber?
Following on, logically enough, from its predecessor, The Force Unleashed 2, coming to a PS3, Xbox, Wii, PSP, DS, PC and phone near you later in the year,** ** sees Darth Vader's apprentice Starkiller betrayed by the asthmatic dark lord and striking back on his own. Cue jumping and swooshing and much boss fatigue.
Force Unleashed, set between Revenge of the Sith and what we're still not used to calling A New Hope, was fairly standard in terms of its gameplay (although you got to fling stormtroopers around like rag-dolls, which was cool) but was a big noise for its "canonical" status, its narrative and its glossy presentation. It was part of a multimedia blitz that included comics and novels. Expect more of the same when The Force Unleashed 2 arrives at Christmas this year.
