The most recent trailer (find it lurking at the bottom of the page) might be listed as the final one, but the battle to keep Star Wars uppermost in our minds – not the toughest conflict, but still needed in a crowded movie marketplace – continues. New character posters for Star Wars: The Force Awakens have begun appearing online.
With John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey) and Carrie Fisher (Leia) kicking things off by tweeting their characters’ posters, they were swiftly followed by Harrison “Han Solo” Ford (who does not, as far as we know, Tweet, but we can imagine growling, “you can hashtag this shit, but you can’t find it on your phone!”) and Adam Driver, as hissable baddie Kylo Ren. Given the uproar about the absence of Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker on the main one-sheet, we can only ponder the flames being fanned by the fact that he doesn’t have one. Yet, anyway. We almost wish they'd put out the Kylo Ren poster with Luke's name on it, just to see the Internet melt down.
J.J. Abrams is busy putting the finishing touches to the new film, with John Williams contributing his score and the director and his cast planning what will probably be a massive global PR tour where Abrams tries to offer up as little as possible in the spirit of smartly keeping things under wraps.
