Disney is clearly pleased with the success of streaming service Disney+ which turns two in a couple of months, and the Mouse House has planned 12 November as a day of special looks at work from Marvel and Star Wars, plus Pixar shorts and the launch of Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings for subscribers on the service.

The latest MCU release, which was released only cinemas for a shortened 45-day window (and wound up doing rather well) will be joined by Jungle Cruise's free – well, you still have to be a subscriber – debut following that film's dual release in cinemas and on the service for the Premier Access fee.

Added to that is the aforementioned promise of "first looks" at upcoming films and shows from across the Disney sphere, which makes us think there could be a Kenobi tease or even something from the Cassian Andor show. Also likely? A look at Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight and other MCU series.

Other planned releases for the day include the launch of Home Alone re-imagining Home Sweet Home Alone, several new Disney animated shorts (among them the Olaf Presents series, in which Frozen's snowman recounts other Disney tales), Luca spin-off Ciao Alberto and a new Simpsons short.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum will return to the service with the first five episodes of Season 2. This represents Disney following the likes of Netflix, which has its own promotional event coming up.
