The man, the characters, the cameos… the catchphrase. Yes, Stan "Excelsior!" Lee is the subject of another documentary, this time a big-scale Disney+ effort. And the doc is headed to the streaming service this summer.
Directed by David Gelb, the documentary chronicles Lee's fascinating life and his time with Marvel including as co-creator of such legendary characters as Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Thor, Silver Surfer, Ant-Man, Nick Fury and hundreds more. Following a premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, the documentary will be available on Disney+ from 16 June.
