We've already had at least a couple of trailers for new 'toon Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. And while this new sneak peek doesn't offer a load of new footage, there are some fun fresh moments, including the fact that Jake Johnson's Peter Parker is firmly in the anti-cape camp. Edna Mode would surely approve.
Blending a variety of animation styles, Into The Spider-Verse focuses primarily on Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), a Brooklyn teenager in a world one step removed from our own who deals with the typical Spider-issues, juggling family life and his early attempts at crime-fighting.
Then, thanks to some villainous science, the barrier between dimensions is ruptured and he meets the likes of Parker, Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage) and porcine hero Spider-Ham (John Mulaney) and they discover that all their various realities are under threat from the likes of The Kingpin (Liev Schreiber) and his dastardly plans. You can find the various Spider-characters (including Kimiko Glenn's Peni Parker), in the new poster below.
With Phil Lord and Chris Miller writing and producing, and directorial duties handled by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, this vibrant take on the expansive Spider-Verse will be out on 12 December following previews on 8 and 9 December.
