The casting process for Spider-Man: Homecoming continues at full pelt as director Jon Watts gears up to shoot this new incarnation of the web-slinger. The latest recruits to the movie? Prometheus' Logan Marshall-Green and Silicon Valley's Martin Starr.

Much of the plot for the new movie remains a mystery, though The Hollywood Reporter's story on Marshall-Green's casting points to him as a secondary villain causing trouble for Tom Holland's Peter Parker alongside Michael Keaton, who is The Vulture. As for Starr? Deadline's report doesn't specify who he'll play, but we can see him bringing some caustic wit to Peter's world.

With Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal overseeing the film for Sony and Marvel under their pact to share the character, Homecoming finds Parker dealing with high-school life and fending off threats. So far, the packed cast also includes Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Donald Glover (who was just added, and about whom we speculated potential roles here, Michael Barbieri, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, Kenneth Choi and Zendaya.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be on our screens on July 7 next year.
