The cameras have now started rolling on Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first Spidey stand-alone film to feature Tom Holland's take on Peter Parker. But the casting announcements are still coming at a fast pace, with Fargo's Bokeem Woodbine and Better Call Saul's Michael Mando joining the ever-expanding ensemble.
After making a splash as the charismatic gangster Mike Milligan in Fargo, Woodbine will be bringing some bad guy vibes to the new Spider-Man, which gives us the smallest case for concern given that we already have Michael Keaton as the Vulture and Logan Marshall-Green as one of the other main threats. With luck, the current filmmaking team, including director Jon Watts, won't fall victim to the danger of overstuffed rogues' galleries that have plagued other superhero outings.
As for Mando, who has made his own impact as Nacho on Saul, nothing is known about his allegiance in the film. But perhaps he'll be playing against the Nacho type as a heroic helper. The two new arrivals join the likes of Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Donald Glover and Martin Starr in the film, which will be out on in the UK on July 7 next year.
