Soundwave & Ravage For Transformers 2?

He was criminally excluded from Michael Bay's first instalment but fans of the robots in disguise will be delighted to hear that Soundwave will make an appearance in Transformers 2. For those not fully versed in the various Cybertronian personalitites, Soundwave is the Decepticon who flies in the face of Newtonian physics by changing from 20 foot robot to belt-clippable personal casette player. Blessed with the best voice in the original cartoon (click here{ =nofollow}for evidence), one of Soundwave's other impressive capabilities was to churn out the various tape-transforming characters like Rumble, Frenzy (who appeared in the first movie, but not as a tape), Laserbeak, Buzzsaw and fan favourite Ravage, who was a robotic panther.

"I'll tell you. We had to get Soundwave in there," writer Roberto Orci told IGN. "We had Ravage in an early draft of the first movie and Soundwave, and we couldn't do it right and I think this time hopefully we'll have the ability to do it."

Soundwave and Ravage? Now that's something for Transformers fans to get excited about.
