While she's usually found trying to survive (and possibly conquer) the wild world of Westeros, in her big screen career Sophie Turner has been open to other genres and is now joining the cast of a new sci-fi romantic comedy, Time Freak.
The story follows physics student Stillman (Asa Butterfield), who is heartbroken when his girlfriend (Tuner) ends their relationship. So he does what any young man would... he builds a time machine and drags his best friend (Skyler Gisondo) back in time with him so he can figure out all the mistakes he made and win his ex back.
It sounds a little like a funkier take on the concept set forth by About Time, and it's a fairly well-explored territory in the genre. But director Andrew Bowler and producer Gigi Causey poured their married life savings into making a short around the idea, and the result has been an Oscar nomination and now the feature-length version with Bowler calling the shots.
Aubrey Reynolds, Will Peltz and Jillian Joy are also in the cast for the movie, which is now shooting in Salt Lake City.
