A triumvirate of so-hot-right-now movie folk have gotten together to make The Soloist and you can see how things are shaping up with the trailer right here.
Atonement director Joe Wright, Jamie Foxx and the living legend that is Robert Downey Jr are the people behind this true story about homeless musical prodigy Nathaniel Ayers (Foxx), who developed schizophrenia in his second year at the prestigious Juilliard music school and ended up living on the streets of downtown LA. Downey Jr comes in as Steve Lopez, the Los Angeles Times reporter whose column and subsequent book told Ayers' story. Judging by the trailer, it's going to be a proper plucker of the old heartstrings.
The Soloist will be released in the UK on Friday, February 6 next year.
