Steven Soderbergh already has international plans for the shooting schedule of epidemic thriller Contagion, but now he’s spreading it to Hong Kong and adding some more Asian talent[ in the form of actors Josie Ho and Chin Han.](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i63f1a2fc43dfa74db414f60bd571c248d571c248)

Ho is best known for the slasher film Dream House, while Han was seen in The Dark Knight as shady businessman/money manager Lau. Since the killer bug in the film starts with a Chinese patient (shades of World War Z there), we’re going to assume either one of them could be Patient Zero.

Contagion already boasts a starry cast that includes Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law and Kate Winslet. And Soderbergh has plans to shoot in Dubai, Japan, Switzerland, the UK, Brazil, Russia, Malaysia and, most glamorously, Minneapolis.

The location is likely to be a little controversial for China, since that where the deadly SARS virus originated back in 2003. We doubt this will put the movie on the top of the Must Schedule list in most Chinese cinemas. Ho, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will be channeling her experiences during the outbreak into her character: “It was a very sad time when we were all scared and nobody knew where to turn for help,” Ho tells the trade mag. “I really respect all the doctors and nurses who saved us. They are heroes.”
