We’ve seen a few images from Bong Joon-Ho’s dystopian sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer, but now come a series of character posters for the bedraggled folk riding the rails in the film. And they look like people you’d be worried about if they got on the 2:59pm to Paddington, even if one of them is Chris Evans. Take a gander below.
Snowpiercer is adapted from French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, which finds the Earth plunged into a new ice age after a disastrous attempt to fix global warming.
What’s left of humanity is crowded onto the massive, titular train, where a class society has built up between the classes of travel. Revolution is bubbling away, and it’ll threaten for everyone aboard.
Evans is part of the cast alongside Jamie Bell, John Hurt, Song Kang-ho, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner, Ed Harris, Ah-sung Ko and, most intriguingly, Tilda Swinton. Who, on the evidence of this, has decided to go as The Incredibles' Edna Mode for Halloween this year.
The movie certainly seems promising, but right now it’s still just a lingering treat in the future as no UK date has been set yet.
