Smurfs Up! The Teaser Is Here

You remember yesterday, when we brought a glimpse of the Smurfs movie with the little blue critters cropping up in New York’s Times Square? If you looked at the picture and thought to yourself, ‘Hhhm… I wonder what that would look like with them moving, scored to a beat-box version of the theme tune. Oh, and with some stock footage of various world monuments turning blue?’ your wish has been granted, because the teaser for The Smurfs is here.

We can’t judge too harshly, since Raja Gosnell's movie is still busy filming and, given that the Smurfs themselves are CGI, there’s probably not a whole lot of rendered, moving footage with them in it anyway.

But you do get a bonus dose of Neil Patrick Harris introducing the clip, and an actual look at the creatures in motion.

The Smurfs, which promises to Smurf us all over next summer, features Harris, Glee’s Jayma Mays and Hank Azaria (as villain Gargamel) as humans, with the likes of Katy Perry, Anton Yelchin, Alan Gumming, BJ Novak, Jonathan Winters and The Daily Show’s John Oliver providing just some of the voices for the main characters.

Get a whole Smurf load (boy, that noun really can be stretched to do anything, can’t it?) of the magical miniatures below.
