Tom Sizemore had his probation reinstated on Monday, a month after he was ordered to spend another 30 days in a Californian rehabilitation centre for possessing amphetamines. This is a step forward for the Saving Private Ryan star, noted by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Paula Mabrey, who told Sizemore that she had seen "remarkable improvement" in his fight with against drug addiction. Sizemore's probation had been revoked after he used a prosthetic device to fake the results of a drug test. His lawyer Michael Rovell told the hearing, "He is licking his problem. It is not an easy problem to overcome, but right now he is winning the battle." Judge Mabrey told Sizemore, "I believe that you know what you need to do to stay out of prison." Sizemore will reappear in court in two weeks.
