Final casting for Rodriguez's Sin City

Robert Rodriguez has finally finished casting for Sin City, and what a cast it is. If Empire ever gets someone to make that movie about life here in the office then we can only pray that a line-up like this will be around to portray our staff on screen. Benicio Del Toro and Clive Owen are the final additions to this impressive ensemble, joining Bruce Willis, Elijah Wood, Leonardo DiCaprio, Josh Hartnett, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Alba, Brittany Murphy, Nick Stahl and Jessica Biel. Now, we're the first to admit that a great ensemble cast has failed to save many a sub-standard film (too many cooks and all that), but trust us, this is going to be great! For those who have been sleeping at the back, the film is based on Frank Miller's stylised noir comic series, which, as anyone who's read them will tell you, rock. Episodic in structure, the film will be split into three chapters - named for titles in Miller's series: Sin City, That Yellow Bastard and The Big Fat Kill - each recounting the carryings-on of the city's seedy inhabitants. Rodriguez isn't going into this half-arsed either. The director has resigned from the Director's Guild of America so that he could co-direct with series creator (and non-guild member) Miller - a move that has forced him to abandon his Princess of Mars Project altogether. Oh and Rodriguez is hoping to enlist Quentin Tarantino to direct the final segment. Like we said, it's gonna be great.
