Back in 2013, we heard the first rumblings that a TV series based on Frank Miller's Sin City – as brought to the big screen twice by Robert Rodriguez – was being considered. It's taken a few years, but things have moved on, with The Shield/The Walking Dead's Glen Mazzara on board to start writing and Len Wiseman directing at least one episode to guide the look and style.
Quite what form the eventual show will take has yet to be seen, though Deadline has heard that it'll be a departure from the movies, introducing new characters and timelines into the graphic noir universe, plus using some established icons of the world.
Stephen L’Heureux, who produced Rodriguez' second movie, A Dame To Kill For is on for this one, which, depending on which network picks it up, will likely hew to the style of Miller's artwork, though perhaps not as faithfully as the films.
