A 41-year-old man has pleaded not-guilty to charges that he stalked actress Brooke Shields. Mark Ronald Bailey is charged with three counts, including one felony count of stalking the star of hit sitcom Suddenly Susan between 21 October last year and 10 January this year, when he was arrested. An amended criminal complaint filed on Tuesday alleges Bailey was armed at the time. The defendant is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail and is expected back in court today, when a judge will determine if there is enough evidence to try him. According to a criminal complaint, Bailey repeatedly followed and harassed the 34-year-old actress "and made a credible threat with the intent that she be placed in reasonable fear for her safety and the safety of her immediate family". Bailey also is charged with one count each of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm that had its identification numbers removed.
