With leading man Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the saddle for bike messenger thriller **Premium Rush, co-writer/director David Koepp is now in the midst of locking in some support. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the latest additions are** Revolutionary Road**’s Michael Shannon and Sorority Row’s Jamie Chung{
Actually, while Shannon is officially signed up to play an apparently affable cop who hides a dark, violent and corrupt side, and who ends up chasing Gordon-Levitt’s hero across the city to get position of an envelope he’s carrying, Chung is still negotiating a deal. If she locks one in, she’ll play a fellow bike messenger who helps JGL complete his task. Dania Ramirez jumped aboard the movie earlier this month, for an unspecified character.
Shannon was seen by about three US cinemagoers this past weekend in Jonah Hex, but he’s got Machine Gun Preacher shooting right now. And Chung has her own career skeletons, having played one of the main characters in Dragonball: Evolution.
Koepp bashed out the script with Ghost Town collaborator John Kamps, and has scheduled a shoot in New York City set to kick off next month.
