With the cameras starting to roll this week, co-writer/director Shane Black has taken a step to avoid the first look at his cast for The Predator appearing in set pictures and out-of-context pap shots. Take a look at what represents the partial main cast in Black's tweet...
Yup, lined up from left to right are Sterling K. Brown (as a yet-to-be-named government agent), Trevante Rhodes as a military officer and fellow veteran to Boyd Holbrook's Quinn McKenna, Jacob Tremblay as Holbrook's son (pictured with the director kneeling in front of his actors), Olivia Munn as Casey Bracket and Keegan-Michael Key as another gun-toting type. Quite a line-up, and this isn't even the full main cast.
Black has also used social media to assure those waiting to watch this one that it won't skimp on the violence or claret. "Just to be clear," he wrote, "PG-13 is for pusses. Spines bleed.... A lot." Which disturbingly makes it sounds like he's had some personal experience with that. Hopefully just of the prosthetic variety.
We're promised more from Black as the shoot progresses, and The Predator will be hunting down UK cinemas on 16 February next year.
