His most recent film, sci-fi romance Zoe might not have been a box office success, but writer/director Drake Doremus has still rounded up the resources to make a new, to-be-titled film. He's recruited quite the cast, with Shailene Woodley, Jamie Dornan, Sebastian Stan and Matthew Gray Gubler all spilling ink on contracts to star.
With a script co-written by Doremus and novelist Jardine Libaire, the movie will be set in present day Los Angeles and follows Daphne (Woodley), a thirtysomething woman navigating love and heartbreak over the course of one year. During that time, she will unlock the secrets to her life in a sudden turn of events and in the most surprising of places. Production on the film starts this week in Los Angeles, but there's no release date on the books yet.
