Seth Rogen Waltzes With Sarah Polley

Sarah Polley makes us feel very old. We watched her childhood trial-by-Gilliam in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen; followed her interesting mid period working with Atom Egoyan and David Cronenberg and Michael Winterbottom; cheered at her star turn in Zac Snyder's Dawn of the Dead; and now here she is directing for a second time, with Take This Waltz following her Oscar-nominated writer-director credit for Away From Her. And she's barely thirty! Dammit!

Anyhoo, Ms Polley, currently at Sundance promoting her latest acting role in Splice, is using all those festival networking opportunities to set up Take This Waltz, and it's reportedly coming together quickly. Seth Rogen was already aboard the "romantic triangle" drama, and has now been joined by Michelle Williams (shortly to be seen in Scorsese's Shutter Island, and picking up strong notices for Blue Valentine).

Shooting looks set to start in Toronto in July. The third corner of the triangle - either Williams' husband or extramarital dalliance, depending on who Polley has Rogen pegged for - has yet to be cast, but given the speed this is coming together, expect an announcement shortly.
