As part of Marvel's giant San Diego Comic-Con presentation this weekend, we heard a little more about Disney+ series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, which will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes. One of the more intriguing elements of the panel was Mackie, Stan and Marvel boss Kevin Feige being interrupted by a video hack by the villainous Baron Zemo, as played by Daniel Brühl. And we got to see what Zemo looks like these days. Now, thanks to Brühl's Instagram account, images of Zemo and his masked visage are online.
Zemo, of course, was drawn from the comicbooks and introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War, where he implicated Bucky in a big terrorist attack and set the Avengers against each other with what he knew about Tony Stark's father's death. He was left alive at the end of the film, and now he's once again free to cause chaos, specifically on the show.
From the looks of the costumed pic, he'll finally be donning the screen version of his comics look, and it'll be interesting to see how he fits into the series.
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will hit the Disney+ streaming service in autumn 2020. Read more about it here.
