All of the Marvel-produced Disney+ series have been loaded with interesting actors, and Secret Invasion has already filled its cast with the likes of Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke and Kingsley Ben-Adir. The latest addition is Christopher McDonald.

The series, from writer Kyle Bradstreet, finds Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury and Captain Marvel co-star Ben Mendelsohn's Skrull Talos working to stop a faction of the latter's race, who are infiltrating Earth. The shape-shifters have been hiding in plain sight for years and causing trouble.

McDonald's character is – and we bet you didn't see this coming – being kept a secret for now, though Deadline hears it is a new character that could end up crossing over into the wider MCU. Which is essentially any character that Marvel creates for these shows...

With Killian Scott also in the cast, and Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim among the directors, the show is now filming but doesn't yet have a release date on the Disney streaming service.
