A Second Helping Of Pie

Universal has hired relatively unknown screenwriter David H. Steinberg to pen American Pie 2. Steinberg only recently sold his first script, Slackers to Destination Films for mid to high six figures. Coincidently, Adam Herz who wrote the script to the original Pie was also an unknown screenwriter until he became a hot property after the risque teen comedy unexpectedly grossed over $100 million. Currently Herz is under contract to write and direct a comedy for Universal for a guaranteed minimum of $1 million dollars.
