With The Childhood Of A Leader and Vox Lux under his belt, Brady Corbet is building himself quite the career as a director. And he's assmembled a big, eclectic cast for his latest, immigrant drama The Brutalist, with Sebastian Stan, Marion Cotillard, Vanessa Kirby, Joel Edgerton and Mark Rylance all aboard.
Co-written by Mona Fastvold, Corbet’s film will chronicle 30 years in the life of a visionary architect named László Toth (Edgerton) and his wife Erzsébet (Cotillard) who flee post-war Europe to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of modern America. However, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious and wealthy client (Rylance). As if that wasn't enough, the main characters are Holocaust survivors and the drama will shoot in English, Yiddish, Hungarian and some Italian.
Corbet also has Isaach De Bankolé, Alessandro Nivola, Raffey Cassidy and Stacy Martin in the cast, with a plan to kick off shooting in January.
