Post Lord Of The Rings, Sean Astin can normally be found being humiliated by Adam Sandler in films such as Click.
But he’s signed on for something altogether different by joining the cast of the previously announced drama Forever Strong. Ryan Little’s film sees Sean Faris as your usual talented-yet-troubled rugby player who faces juvenile detention unless he helps coach a team. He ends up taking them to the national championship, and up against a team run by his father (Neal McDonough).
Astin will play a social worker at the juvenile detention centre.
