Things could be getting a little stranger in Hawkins, Indiana, as changes are afoot for Stranger Things in its second season. Not only will the show jump forward a year in time, but it’s getting additional cast members in the form of Sean Astin, Linnea Berthelsen and Paul Reiser.

Astin will be playing “former nerd” Bob Newby, currently a manager at a RadioShack in Hawkins, who was among the high school student body with Joyce and Hopper. Berthelsen is Roman, who is still dealing with the aftermath of a tragic loss from childhood, and while she isn’t a Hawkins resident, there's nonetheless a strong connection between her and the otherworldly events at the lab. And Reiser is Department of Energy official Dr. Owens, tasked with keeping a lid on what happened in the town a year earlier. Because any Aliens fans will know, he plays a good corporate asshole.

Astin, Berthelsen and Reiser join previously announced newcomers to the show Sadie Sink (as Max) and Dacre Montgomery (as Billy). As to what's in store for any of them, do you really think the brothers Duffer would reveal anything?
