Scott Rothman is pretty happy about getting Dumped. We should qualify that statement actually – Scott Rothman is pretty happy about getting Dumped, his spec script about a male friendship falling apart, picked up by Columbia for six figures.

The story revolves around two friends who begin to experience a difficult ‘break-up’ when one of them embraces adulthood, while the other refuses to let go of his irresponsible carousing ways.

Sounds like a comedy to us, although one that could well come tinged with dramatic overtones. But given that Rothman’s previous spec script, Fratboy, is a comedy (currently being developed at Warner Independent), we’re confident that our first guess is correct.

Dumped will be produced by Michael DeLuca through his Sony-based production company.
