Premiering 10 years ago, the Scott Pilgrim tie-in game from Ubisoft became a firm cult favourite before tragically vanishing from digital stores in 2014. To mark the 10th anniversary, the game is coming back just in time for Christmas, and has a trailer online.
For the uninitiated, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game is a side-scrolling brawler based on both Edgar Wright's movie and Bryan Lee O'Malley's original comic book, where players must fight their way through seven levels, and Ramona Flowers' seven exes. Up to four players can enter the game, and can choose to play as Scott, Ramona Flowers, Kim Pines or Stephen Stills. NegaScott is an unlockable character in the game, while Knives Chau and Wallace Wells are downloadable. Each character has their own unique abilities, which can be upgraded with experience points, and are able to use weapons picked up along the way. And music fans know it features a Chiptune soundtrack by Anamanaguchi.
There's no exact date yet, but it'll be out later this year on various formats, including PlayStation ® 4, the Xbox One family of devices, Nintendo Switch™ system, Stadia, Windows PC and UPLAY+. Hopefully this time, it'll stick around...
