Ridley Scott is keeping himself busy.
He’s confirmed that he will direct The Invisible World for Paramount. Based on a treatment by novelist Scott Ignatius, the script – written by Dana Stevens – covers the abduction of a female journalist in Iraq. For filming, Scott plans to return to Morocco – where he shot much of Kingdom Of Heaven.
He’s also considering another Ignatius-derived film. Warners and his Scott Free production company have acquired Penetration, one of Ignatius’ spy novels, about the CIA’s attempts to track a high-ranking terrorist. That's also being developed with an eye for Ridley to direct. We'll keep you up to date on that as we hear more.
