If we had an Indian spirit guide, we like to think it'd look like Scott Glenn - even though he's neither an Indian or a spirit. But that's why we were happy to hear that he's taken a role in Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch as a mentor/guide to the film's protagonists.
He joins a cast that already includes several improbably gorgeous young women: Emily Browning as heroine Babydoll, who tries to escape a mental asylum where she's set to be lobotomised by her evil stepfather in five days by means of travelling through a dream world. She's accompanied by Vanessa Hudgens' Blondie, Abbie Cornish's Sweetpea, Jena Malone's Rocket and Jamie Chung's Amber.
Jon Hamm's also in the cast as a man simply known as High Roller; we'd guess that he's the stepfather but nothing to that effect has been confirmed so far. Carla Gugino plays Mrs Schulz, a nurse in the asylum and a brothel madam in the film's alternate reality.
Shooting starts around about now, after a summer spent undergoing fight training (for the girls, anyway). Sucker Punch is due out on March 15, 2011
