He last helped bring Logan to the screen, working on the script with director James Mangold. For a future film gig, Scott Frank will develop an adaptation of Taylor Adams' novel No Exit.

Adams' novel arrived this summer and has been racking up blistering sales figures, so naturally studios have been interested. 20th Century Fox picked up the rights to make a movie, and now Frank will oversee the scripting progress.

The story follows college student Darby Thorne who becomes stranded in a blizzard while driving to see her mother. When she seeks shelter in a rest stop for the night, she encounters four strangers and, more disturbingly, a little girl locked in the boot of one of their cars. She'll have to figure out who is a kidnapper while trapped with the others without mobile phone reception...

Frank's latest project hitting our screens is the Western series Godless, moseying on to Netflix on 22 November. You can read more about it in the current issue of Empire.
