Team Fast & Furious is really putting the pedal to the metal when it comes to casting the latest film, Fast 8. With Charlize Theron recently confirmed as playing a major antagonist, now comes word – tweeted by the man himself – that Scott Eastwood is also joining Vin Diesel and the rest of the gang.
According to Variety, Eastwood will be playing the protege of Kurt Russell's federal agent, and Russell himself will be back after his introduction in Fast & Furious 7 last year. Which is good news for everyone who enjoyed his charismatic turn as the mysterious fed.
The new arrivals join the confirmed likes of Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson in a story that remains under wraps but will this time be directed by F. Gary Gray. Fast 8 has shot some stunt footage and will film in Atlanta, New York, Iceland and, assuming the plan works out, Cuba.
This latest movie will be out on April 14 2017. Eastwood has a role in Suicide Squad, which hits our screens on August 5 this year and recently put out a new trailer.
