Scoot McNairy is one of those actors who paid his dues for years before winning due recognition in Monsters. He’s since become a man in demand, appearing in Argo, Frank and many more, and now he has landed a role in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

What exactly he’ll be doing in the superhero sequel is anyone’s guess at this point. Warner Bros. is being cagey about whether he’s even in the film according to Deadline. But whoever he ends up playing, he should be a great addition since he's equally adept at heroic, snivelling or sinister. Start your speculation engines now on whether he’ll be a regular human or may take his place among the dawning Justice League…

Dawn Of Justice, of course, follows the fallout from **Man Of Steel’**s chaotic battles, with Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) exploiting uncertainties about Superman (Henry Cavill) for his own ends. Oh, and Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) are involved too. Zack Snyder is busy rolling the cameras now in Detroit and beyond, with Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Diane Lane, Jason Momoa, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey in front of his lens.

As for McNairy, he’s currently starring on US TV drama Halt And Catch Fire with Lee Pace and has** Gone Girl **and Black Sea awaiting release. He’ll also be seen in David Michod’s The Rover, due in the UK on August 15.
