Having graced our fair shores – or to be more precise, the mountains of Wales – for some of the Tomb Raider 2 shoots last year, the delectable Angelina Jolie is bringing that mighty pout back to Blighty for the sci-fi flick, The World of Tomorrow. With shooting now scheduled to start in London this March, Jolie is ditching the ancient relics Lara Croft so hankers after for a bit of futuristic fare in the swashbuckler starring Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow. With Paltrow cast as a probing journalist – and, dare we ask, rival love interest - Jolie will play an accomplished aviatrix matched with fellow pilot Law who promises to do for space what Indiana Jones did for archaeology. So, sci-fi geeks all over the land, it is truly a time to celebrate – for not only have you got a rather cool space flick coming your way, but Jolie presumably in one the genre's ludicrously tight-fitting suits in the archetypal role of "fit bird at the controls". As if she hadn't ingratiated herself into your good books already.
Sci-fi Boys, Rejoice!
