Never one to risk being typecast, Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed on to play a lethal robotic killing machine in a remake of Michael Crichton's classic Sci-Fi thriller, Westworld. According to Variety, Schwarzenegger will co-produce and star in the film, taking on Yul Brynner's role as a Robot Gunslinger programmed to act out shootouts with tourists at an Old West theme park but who turns nasty when his programming goes awry. "I am very excited to be working on Westworld," said Schwarzenegger . "I loved the original film when I saw it in 1973 and have wanted to remake it for several years. After following the project for some time, I am really thrilled it has finally come together at Warner Bros." The project is being developed specifically for the burly Austrian who will doubtless slip back into his Terminator routine as he stomps about slaughtering hapless vacationers. It has also been confirmed, after much speculation, that Arnold will reprise his role his role as barbarian king, Conan for the upcoming third instalment in the bare-chested adventure series. Earlier rumours that The Rock may feature as Conan's son shouldn't be completely discounted however as plans are still in place to pair the now rather senior swordsman with a younger counterpart.
