It would seem that playing Natasha Romanoff (AKA Black Widow) in the Marvel movie universe has given Scarlett Johansson a taste for putting boots to asses. She’s already back in the jumpsuit for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and is also in talks to play a drug-assisted warrior woman in Lucy.

Luc Besson, no stranger to kick-ass female leads, is behind this one. He’s written and will direct the tale of a young woman forced to become a drug mule. But instead of a hard-hitting drama along the lines of Maria Full Of Grace, the narcotic finds its way into her system and turns her into a powerful fighter with extra abilities to boot. Not only can she handle herself physically, she becomes desensitised to pain, gains some telepathic power and can absorb knowledge instantly.

It appears Johansson will be sticking with the personal trainer once her work on the Captain America sequel is finished, as Lucy is being scheduled to shoot straight afterwards.

Besides fighting people, Johansson will be seen this year in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Don Jo****n, and in alien drama Under The Skin.
